Randy & I have been fortunate to have travelled many places. Some people say we’re never home! While I love my home, my safe place – we’ve lived in the same house for over 30 years – I have always loved to travel. For Randy, his Dad loved to drive, so they would all pile into the car and go. It didn’t matter how far they went, it was the time they spent together in a new destination. I’ve been on a few of those trips, most recently to the Florida Keys. Driving across the country is nothing for him. Randy continued the family travel, taking trip with our kids to as many destinations as we could. I like to think that they not only appreciated the time together as a family but also learned that there is so much to see in this world. For me, I guess I was spoiled at an early age. I remember a trip with my grandparents to Six Flags when I was young. How brave they were taking 3 grandchildren on a trip! If I remember correctly, they had car trouble and we were stuck on the side of the rode, but it didn’t impact the trip. They made it fun and my memory is more about the good times. Then, my Dad got a job with a commercial airline. And so it began! For a family of 6, we could take vacations to places that a car would never take us. And my love of travel began…Or maybe it began the day I was born. I was a Thursday’s child. “Thursday’s child has far to go.”
So, on to our next adventure. Let’s see where life takes us.
